Lemon Jelli are excited about their new mobile juice, coffee and smoothie bar housed in a fifty year old French classic Citroen H van, this joins permanent branches at Totnes on the High Street, Torquay’s Fleet Street and Newton Abbot indoor market. Lemon Jelli have just taken over Charlies Juice Bar in The Guildhall Centre, Exeter. The bars are run by a team headed by Mary Moore and Ruth Cameron, Mary Moore said: “we are an independent juice bar and have evolved from a love and passion or all things healthy and great tasting”.
“We produce wonderful healthy drinks from bananas, strawberries, oranges and apples to melon, kiwi, mango, local vegetables and pineapple, we can create a Tropical High or a strawberry Sunrise. We even have the Booster smoothie so if your feeling delicate from the night before you can try the 'Hangover helper' or an Antioxidant Blend.
“We also have many more to choose from so you can add them to your favourite juices. “If you need a very good pick me up then we have the infamous Wheatgrass. Equivalent to 2 and a half pounds of green vegetables in one shot and over 103 vitamins, minerals and enzymes.
“This small but so good for you drink has a very distinctive taste so if you haven't already taken the plunge, have a wheatgrass shot and see if you can feel the difference”.
Not only does Lemon Jelli serve Smoothies and juices but have Fairtrade Organic coffee from Origin based in Cornwall, organic teas and hot chocolate with a choice of milks including Soya. Ruth Cameroon said” we also offer a range of our own freshly prepared sandwiches that incorporate organic vegetarian fillings from a local supplier, using only the best ingredients and the freshest too. On top of that we have homemade vegetarian soup, which varies from season to season.
Ruth said Lemon Jelli has a strict environmental policy, using only bio-degradable packaging, buying local whenever possible to reduce food miles, composting food waste and are actively seeking further ways of reducing their ecological impact.
The van is now available for private functions and has already been booked for a wedding reception with a difference.
